Paediatric Physiotherapy

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the paediatric physiotherapy department provides a service to both inpatients and outpatients at Wythenshawe Hospital.  It is managed and supported by Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

We treat children with a wide range of conditions including:

  • Respiratory
  • Neurological
  • Musculoskeletal
  • Rheumatology

We have a hydrotherapy pool and provide a hydrotherapy service for a wide range of children from babies to teenagers.

As well as involving parents and guardians in all aspects of their child’s care and home treatment programmes, we liaise closely with community physiotherapy, nursing and other health professional services, children’s hospitals, schools, and other services involved in the care of children.

The Paediatric Physiotherapy Department is located in the Green Zone near entrance 10.
