Biography

Undergraduate dental degree at Sheffield qualifying in 1985, followed by junior hospital dental positions. Undergraduate medical degree at Sheffield qualifying 1995. Higher specialist training in Manchester. Appointed Consultant and honorary lecturer in medicine in dentistry (University of Manchester) in 2000. Research interests in oral mucosal disease. Publications in Nature Genetics, British Medical Journal, Brirtish Dental Journal, and British Journal of Cancer.
