Consultant Plastic, Oncoplastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeon

Mr Benjamin Baker, BMBS PGCert MBA FRCS(Plast), is a Consultant Oncoplastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon specialising in breast surgery, body contouring, and cancer reconstruction. He graduated from Nottingham University Medical School in 2012 and was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in Plastic Surgery – FRCS(Plast) – in 2021. He completed a prestigious fellowship in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery in Newcastle, and an advanced international fellowship in reconstructive oncology, microsurgery and aesthetic surgery in Melbourne, Australia.

Mr Baker was President of the Plastic Surgery Trainees Association (PLASTA UK) and has served on the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) Council. He is widely published in his fields and frequently presents his work internationally.

Mr Baker worked as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the world-renowned Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, Australia. He has returned to Manchester, where he has a busy NHS practice centred around breast reconstruction at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

Mr Baker is on the UK GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery, is a full member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS), and is an international member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS).
