Biography

Mr Andrew Pickersgill is a highly experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist specialising in keyhole (laparoscopic and hysteroscopic) surgery, with expertise in endometriosis, pelvic pain, fibroids, heavy periods, fertility problems, menopause/HRT, and pelvic floor disorders.

He qualified in Liverpool and has trained and practised in Manchester since 1992. His background in infertility and IVF led to a strong interest in minimally invasive surgery, particularly for patients with fertility concerns.

Mr Pickersgill is an experienced educator, having written three textbooks, contributed to patient education resources, and published widely. He teaches keyhole surgery in hospitals across the UK and delivers advanced laparoscopic training at the University of Surrey.

He is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and belongs to the British Fertility Society, the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy, and the World Society of Endometriosis.
