Biography
Mr Mohamed Elsherbiny is a Consultant Gynaecologist and BSGE-accredited Endometriosis Specialist with expertise in advanced laparoscopic and Da Vinci robotic surgery. He specialises in deep infiltrating endometriosis, adenomyosis, fibroids and chronic pelvic pain, working within a multidisciplinary team including colorectal, urology, fertility and pain specialists.
He graduated from Alexandria University in 2005 and completed RCOG-recognised advanced endometriosis training at the Northwest Pelvic Pain and Endometriosis Centre (Manchester Foundation Trust) in 2022.
Mr Elsherbiny is currently Co-Lead for the Complex Endometriosis Service, where he plays a key role in service development, governance, MDT optimisation and pathway redesign, ensuring alignment with BSGE and NICE standards.
He is also the Laparoscopic Simulation Lead for ST6–ST7 trainees, delivering regional and national training, and contributes to research as an Associate Principal Investigator. His work is driven by a strong commitment to innovation, excellence and patient empowerment in women’s health.
