Biography

Dr Samanta graduated from the University of Calcutta, India in 1996 and completed her postgraduate training in the UK. She completed her Neonatal specialist training at the London Deanery (Guy’s & St Thomas’, St Georges and King’s College Hospitals) and joined as a Consultant Neonatologist at St Mary’s Hospital, Manchester in 2007. She relocated to Singapore for a period between 2015 – 2023. She has keen interest in Quality Improvement and has led and coached several projects locally and globally. She is also an NLS and ARNI instructor and exmainer for the MRCPCH, UK examinations.

Dr Samanta rejoined St Mary’s Hospital as a Consultant in 2023.
