Biography
David Iles trained in obstetrics and gynaecology in the North West and completed subspecialty training in urogynaecology at Liverpool Women’s Hospital.
He was appointed as a Consultant Urogynaecologist at Saint Mary’s Hospital in 2018 and work within the Warrell Unit, the North West tertiary referral centre for pelvic floor disorders. He is Clinical Lead for the Warrell Unit within Saint Mary’s Managed Clinical Services.
Mr Iles has clinical expertise in the investigation and management of pelvic floor disorders including pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence. His surgical practice includes native tissue continence surgery and minimally invasive pelvic floor reconstruction using laparoscopic and robotic-assisted techniques. He is a member of the Manchester Mesh Complications Service.
He is actively involved in postgraduate training in urogynaecology and is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists Subspecialty Training Committee. He also serves as Chair of the Training Committee at the British Society of Urogynaecology.
