Biography
Dr Tom Pantin is a Consultant Respiratory Physician at Wythenshawe Hospital. He was appointed in October 2018. He specializes in severe asthma. Since January 2022 he has been lead clinician of the Wythenshawe/South Manchester Severe Asthma Service. He also leads a weekly multidisciplinary team Complex breathlessness clinic with the Manchester Airways Service.
Dr Tom Pantin trained at Manchester University Medical School and graduated in 2006. Previous to this he had completed a BSc Hons degree in Biochemistry with Pharmacology at the University of Southampton. His medical training was in the Northwest, West Midlands and Mersey deaneries. Between 2010 and 2013 he worked as a Clinical Research Fellow at the Medicine Evaluation Unit at Wythenshawe supervising clinical trials. During this time he undertook an MD looking at nasal allergen challenges. He continues to be interested in research and continues to publish on the subjects of severe asthma and complex breathlessness.
