This Sunday (1st July) a special celebratory episode of BBC One’s Songs of Praise to mark the 70th anniversary of the NHS will be broadcast at 1.30pm. The programme features staff and patients at Trafford General Hospital and traces Health Minister Aneurin Bevan’s historic visit to the hospital in 1948.
a visit to the stroke unit and to theatres (pictured) and interviews with Dr Ajith George, Consultant Endocrinologist, and Helen Rogers, Acting Head of Nursing. Some additional filming was done at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital.
