A spokesperson for Saint Mary’s Hospital, which is part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, said; “Saint Mary’s Hospital is very proud of the history and achievements of the Department of Reproductive Medicine and its contribution to the Greater Manchester and regional healthcare system. The Department of Reproductive Medicine is currently housed in the existing Old Saint Mary’s building.
“Commissioners are currently running a GM-wide detailed service review to consider the future provision of assisted conception and fertility treatment services across Greater Manchester. It is important to note that this is a listening exercise and no decisions on the future of the service have been made. As part of the review process, all stakeholders are invited to give their feedback to help shape future provision.”
