The world-famous Manchester Pride Parade was on Saturday, 24 August, and colleagues from Manchester University Foundation Trust (MFT), once again marched with ‘Pride’ through the streets of Manchester.
Involvement in the parade demonstrates the ongoing commitment MFT has to its LGBTQ+ workforce, patients, careers and the surrounding communities of Manchester and Trafford.
Margo Kane, MFT LGBTQ+ Champion said, ‘It’s a powerful reminder of the Trust’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and standing together as one community. I’d also like to say a massive thank you to our sponsors Sodexo, NHS Professionals and Holiday Inn Manchester, who have made being part of this year’s parade possible.’’
About the Manchester Pride Parade
The Manchester Pride Parade is the city’s biggest parade, with tens of thousands of LGBTQ+ people and allies gathering to march through the city for equality, grinding the city to a halt with thousands of people lining the streets to take in the spectacular sea of colours. If there is ever an opportunity to shout loud and proud about who we are and what our values are, it is at the Parade!
