Biography

Mr David Ormesher is a Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. He studied Medicine at the University of Manchester and completed his specialist vascular training across the North West, where he also served as Chief Registrar for Surgery.

He was awarded the FRCS in Vascular Surgery by the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2022 and worked as a Consultant at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust before joining the Trust in 2026.

Mr Ormesher treats the full range of vascular conditions, including aortic aneurysms, peripheral arterial disease, carotid artery disease, varicose veins, deep vein thrombosis, and diabetic foot disease, offering both open and minimally invasive (endovascular) procedures. He is the Trust’s NCIP Champion for vascular surgery and an NIHR Principal Investigator for clinical trials, and is committed to delivering safe, evidence-based, patient-centred care.
