Biography
Dr Pearman graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2005 and began his training in Cardiology in the Mersey region. After being awarded a British Heart Foundation Research Fellowship, he attained his PhD in Cellular Cardiac Electrophysiology from The University of Manchester. This led to a clinical lectureship from the National Institute for Health Research in 2015, during which he published several first author papers in high impact journals.
He completed his training in clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, followed by a fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Inherited Arrhythmia Syndromes at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver.
He has been a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust since 2022. He treats the full range of heart rhythm disorders including catheter ablations and implantation of pacemakers including conduction system pacing, defibrillators, and cardiac resynchronisation devices, as well as inherited arrhythmia syndromes. His ongoing research interests include conduction system pacing, channelopathies, and atrial fibrillation.
When not chasing after his three children he is an enthusiastic but not very talented runner, snowboarder, and cook.
