We want all parents visiting our hospitals to feel welcome and supported when feeding their baby.

Across a number of our hospitals, dedicated infant feeding rooms are available for breastfeeding, expressing milk, bottle feeding, or simply spending time with your baby in a private and comfortable space. These rooms provide a quieter environment away from busy public areas and include facilities such as seating, sinks and electrical sockets for expressing equipment, where available.

Breastfeeding and expressing are welcome throughout our hospitals, and you are entitled to feed your baby wherever you feel comfortable. Our infant feeding rooms are available for anyone who would prefer a private space.

If you need support with feeding your baby, advice is available from the Manchester Local Care Organisation Infant Feeding Team. They offer specialist guidance and practical support to help families with breastfeeding, expressing and infant feeding questions. For more information, visit the Manchester LCO Infant Feeding Team webpage.
