Biography

Graduated from St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London. He trained in Cardiology in Birmingham, Oxford and Wales. He completed 2.5 years in subspecialty training in coronary intervention in the USA at the Cardiovascular Research Foundation and the New York University Medical Centre, New York.

He has published widely in the fields of vascular biology, coronary intervention, heart failure and diabetic cardiomyopathy, the latter being the subject of his BHF Junior Research Fellowship MD.

His specialist interests include complex coronary intervention, and the management of coronary artery disease and heart failure.

He is currently the lead for the acute chest pain service at the Manchester Royal Infirmary.
