Biography
Dr Gorsuch is a Respiratory Physician with an interest in respiratory infection. He has been a consultant at Manchester Royal Infirmary since 2014. He came into Respiratory Medicine from an infection background, and worked in rural South Africa before moving to Manchester for his specialist training, which included time out for additional training in Infectious Diseases. Outside MFT, Dr Gorsuch is a member of the British Thoracic Society (BTS) Specialist Advisory Group on tuberculosis, chairs the regional TB Cohort Audit steering group, co-chairs the NW TB Conference, and is a member of the NW TB Control Board. He is one of very few respiratory physicians to have been awarded the Diploma in HIV Medicine. His research interests include TB diagnosis and treatment; he is a co-author of the BTS guideline on Non-Tuberculous Mycobacterial Lung Disease and the BTS Clinical Statement on Ocular Tuberculosis.
