Biography

Dr Beleznai graduated from the University of Debrecen (Hungary) in 2007 and began her Ph.D research in cardiovascular basic science at the Division of Clinical Physiology, at the University of Debrecen (Hungary). As part of her research journey, she was awarded a British Heart Foundation Research Fellowship at the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Oxford (UK) where she studied the vasomotor function of skeletal muscle and human coronary arterioles. This led to several first author publications in high impact journals. After 6 years in research, she started her postgraduate medical training as Foundation doctor at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital (UK). She completed her training in cardiology focusing on advanced echocardiography and heart failure at Leeds General Infirmary in 2023. She continued her learning in structural imaging especially TOE for M-TEER after staring her Post-CCT fellowship at Wythenshawe Hospital (UK).

She has been a Consultant Cardiologist at Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust since 2024. She looks after complex heart valve patients, also she is a part of different multidisciplinary teams including infective endocarditis, TAVI and PFO. She has regular TOE and stress echo lists, also supervises structural and stress echo lists.

She is a very keen runner and tennis player. She is one of the main pillars for the Monday evening Wythenshawe 5 km run cub.
