Biography

Dr Vasileios Lamprou graduated from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in Greece in 2012. He specialised in Cardiology in the North-West region of England with subspeciality training in Heart Failure and Complex Device Therapy.

He undertook a clinical fellowship in Complex Device implantation at Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester. He is certified by the British Heart Rhythm Society (BHRS) and by the European Heart Failure Association (HFA) in heart rhythm and heart failure management.

He has obtained a master’s degree in cardiopulmonary resuscitation from the University of Athens and a PGCert in Medical Leadership from the University of Edge Hill aiming to lead people through change and to be an effective change agent in health care.

He was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist in Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 2025.
