Biography

I did my undergraduate training in the University of Leicester. After qualification in 1991 I spent a short period working in London. I returned to Leicester to do my junior surgical training. I obtained the FRCS in 1996. Following a period of research I was appointed a Specialist Registrar in the North West in 1999. I obtained my MD in 2001. I spent my finals years of training in the transplant unit where I worked as part of the team that developed pancreas transplantation in Manchester. I was appointed as a consultant in Transplant and General Surgery in 2006.
