EMERGING is a collaboration between the adult critical care and the adult emergency departments. Our mission is to continually strive to improve standards of emergency and intensive care.
We aim to produce world-leading, patient-centred research that will promote effective and efficient clinical decision making and optimise the wellbeing of service users, and to provide outstanding training for future generations of clinicians and researchers. The group is led by Dr Rick Body, Consultant in emergency medicine and NIHR post doctoral research fellow and supported by a team of four clinical research nurses, led by the senior clinical research nurse.
