We advise and manage acutely unwell patients who have been admitted to the hospital with:
- Problems from a known cancer;
- Complications from radiotherapy and chemotherapy;
- A newly diagnosed Cancer of Unknown Primary (CUP) (where the site of the cancer is unknown)
Hours
Working hours are: 09:00 – 17:00 Monday – Thursday and 09:00- 20:00 on Friday, excluding weekends and bank holidays
Staff
The team consists of the following:
- Consultant Medical Oncologist
- Acute Oncology Physician
- Team Leader/Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP)
- 3 Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS)
- MDT Co-ordinator
