Biography

Miss Kim graduated from University of Manchester Medical School in 2005. She undertook general medical training in London before completing a 7-year Ophthalmology specialty surgical training programme in the North West Deanery, primarily based at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. She then took further sub-specialist training in Cornea and External Eye Disease at the Birmingham Midland Eye Centre.

Having trained at two of the largest eye hospitals in the country, she was appointed as a substantive consultant in Cornea and External Eye Disease at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital in 2021. Miss Kim carries out complex anterior segment surgery including corneal grafting, cataracts, keratoconus treatment and managing advanced ocular surface conditions.
