Biography

Dr Adamson is an Associate Specialist in diabetes. She trained at Manchester University, qualifying as a doctor in 1992. Since then she has worked extensively in diabetes, which has included working at Salford Royal Hospital (Hope) and Sheffield University Hospital. She has conducted research into some of the problems experienced by people with diabetes. She came to Trafford in April 2000, where she has helped to set up and run services including micro- and macro-vascular complications clinics and Trafford’s diabetic foot ulcer service. Dr Adamson has held posts including: Staff and Associate Specialist Lead; Vice-Chair of the Medicines Management Group; and Chair of the Medicines Safety Group.
