Biography

Prof Thomas trained at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London and qualified in 1981. He was appointed as Consultant Radiologist to North Manchester General Hospital in 1989. He moved to Trafford General Hospital in July 2005. Prof Thomas is the co-author of standard ultrasound textbooks and has multiple publications, recently mainly in the field of radiographer role development. He is Honorary Visiting Professor at the University of Salford (2000- present) and is currently external examiner to the National Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Programme training programme.
