Physiotherapists help people affected by injury, illness or disability through movement and exercise, manual therapy, education and advice. Physiotherapists and trained support workers help people to recover and enable them to remain independent for as long as possible.

Physiotherapists work in a variety of health care settings within Trafford General Hospital and Altrincham General Hospital. Physiotherapists work in integrated – or ‘joined up’ – therapy teams working alongside other Allied Health Professionals such as Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists.

Referrals for cardiac rehabilitation are accepted from a variety of health professionals including cardiologists, cardiac nurses and GPs.

Referrals to other physiotherapy out-patient services are accepted from MFT Consultants.
