Biography

Appointed as consultant in Community Gynaecology and Reproductive Healthcare, Palatine Centre, Manchester in 2004

Chair of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare Clinical Standards Committee for several years before being elected President this year.  This Committee enables the Faculty to play a key role in the provision of high and continuously improving patient centred care by producing clinical standards in the field of contraception and reproductive health.

Specialist member on the NICE committee which has recently published

‘Quality Standards for Contraceptive Services’.

Driven an ambitious modernisation programme to include a fully electronic health records system and a ‘hub and spoke’ model with 5 hubs across the city open 5-6 days a week.
