Biography

Qualified from the University of Nottingham Medical School 1996, postgraduate medical training in Nottingham and then the north west, Consultant Genitourinary Medicine MRI 2003-present. Experience & expertise in Medical Education, working as an undergraduate tutor and postgraduate supervisor, Training Programme Director for the region since 2010. Held a number of posts in education within the trust and Associate Medical Director with responsibility for this 2016 onwards. Msc Medical Education University of Manchester 2013, Honorary Senior Lecturer (teaching). Co-founder of St Mary’s multidisciplinary HIV antenatal clinic in 2006 which continues to go from strength to strength. Lead author, UK national guidelines for the management of Syphilis 2006-present. Within the British Association of Sexual Health & HIV is a member of the national clinical effectiveness committee, commissioning & developing all national guidelines and working with NICE 2010-present, Fellow to the Board 2016-present.
