Biography:

Qualified from University of Ibadan Nigeria in 1984.

Higher Surgical training in London including rotations to UCH/Middlesex, Barts and Royal London, research at Hammersmith Hospital and fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Hospital St Joseph Marseille France. Appointed Consultant vascular surgeon at Bolton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 2000.

Mr Onwudike has been a consultant Vascular Surgeon at Bolton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust since 2000. His emergency and in-patient activities were transferred to MFT in 2014 and 2016 respectively following the sub-regional centralisation of vascular services.  Mr Onwudike has vast experience in all aspects of vascular surgery including minimally invasive procedures for hyperhidrosis, thoracic outlet syndrome, carotid body tumours and vascular trauma. He is an examiner for both the MRCS in general surgery and FRCS in Vascular Surgery. He is active in surgical education and is at present the Royal College of Surgeons Tutor at Bolton.
