Biography
Medical student at Balliol College, Oxford qualifying in 1981. After house jobs proceeded to MRCP (1985) and FRCSEd (1987). Trained in Emergency Medicine in the North West and appointed Consultant at MRI and FCEM in 1993. Published widely on the practice of Emergency Medicine, both books (Advanced Paediatric Life Support, Major Incident Medical Management and Support, Emergency Triage) and academic papers. As well as consulting at MRI and Booth Hall is also Executive Medical Director of the North West Ambulance Service, Civilian Consultant Advisor to the British Army and Head of the North Western School of Emergency Medicine.
