The unit has two full time Vascular Specialist Nurses, and an amputation specialist nurse. The VSNs run exercise classes for intermittent claudication, hyperhidrosis treatment and ulcer or wound care. They also run the preoperative assessment clinics and look after inpatients on the Vascular ward with wound related prob.
- Gareth Owen, Vascular Specialist Nurse – Gareth has been at CMFT for 12 years and leads the VSN team. He has a specialist interest in claudication rehabilitation and wound care.
