Biography
Mr Agorogiannis is a laboratory-trained ophthalmologist with a specialist interest in Uveitis and Medical Retina. He graduated first in his class from the University of Thessaly Medical School, Greece, and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Immunology from the University of Oxford. Mr Agorogiannis completed his ophthalmology specialist training at Mersey deanery, Liverpool, and a fellowship in Medical Retina and Uveitis at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. Before joining Manchester Royal Eye Hospital (MREH) in 2022, he was a locum consultant in Uveitis and Medical Retina at Oxford Eye Hospital. Mr Agorogiannis is the research lead for adult uveitis at MREH. In addition to his duties at MREH, he is an associate editor at BMJ Open Ophthalmology and serves as an examiner for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
