About

Dr Pakhshan Farshi obtained her degree in Germany and completed her specialist training in haematology in the same country. During this time, she pursued a PhD at the University of Cologne, focusing on the impact of stem cell dosage, anaemia, and thrombocytopenia on bone marrow function recovery and the outcomes of autologous stem cell transplantation. She further honed her expertise as a Transplant Fellow at the renowned Goethe University in Frankfurt, which is recognized as one of Germany’s largest stem cell transplant and research centre. Her proficiency encompasses various haemato-oncological malignancies (leukaemia, myeloma, lymphoma) and non-malignant conditions (bone marrow failures, aplastic anaemia). Currently, she serves as a consultant haematologist within the Adult Stem Cell Transplant Unit and specializes in CAR T treatment at Manchester Royal Infirmary. Actively involved in clinical research on AML and CAR T treatment.
