Biography
Dr Mottershead graduated as a doctor from Bristol University with an additional BSc in Anatomical Science and was awarded the Francis Dudley Memorial Prize in Anatomy. She completed her training in Paediatric Emergency Medicine in Manchester.
Dr Mottershead was appointed a Consultant in the Paediatric Emergency Department (PED) in 2023. She is the departmental Safeguarding Lead, working to ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child attending the PED.
In addition to clinical duties, she is passionate about public health and is a member of Manchester’s Child Injury Prevention Steering Group and won the Pitch for Patients award for her PED-TV educational program.
