The Burns Service consists of a 12 bedded ward and the Burns and Plastics Aftercare Clinic (BPAC). Our Burns Service manages over 1000 new patients every year, from birth up to 16 years of age that have sustained a thermal injury.
We cover the Manchester area, extending into Lancashire, Cheshire and as far north as the Lake District. We do also accept patients from further afield if they require extensive burns care e.g. burns over 10% body surface area.
We are a highly dedicated multidisciplinary team caring for burn patients with acute injury, including critical care, right through to their rehabilitation.
