At MFT there are a range of support options available to members of the Armed Forces Community.
Being identified as a member of the Armed Forces Community at MFT will ensure you are able to access specific Armed Forces health services, such as (but not restricted to) mental health, musculoskeletal injuries, hearing loss, vision loss, and limb loss. Please ensure that you have registered as a Veteran with your GP Practice.
All Veterans inclusive of Regular Personnel and Reserve Forces members are entitled to priority access to NHS care for service-related conditions. Please be aware that this is always subject to clinical need and history and does not mean that you will automatically be fast-tracked ahead of other patients who have a significant clinical needs.
Please let a member of our staff know if you have ever served in the UK Armed Forces so that we can best support your care needs.
MFT is working towards a new patient system called HIVE which will go live in September 2022. We aim to record all members within the Armed Forces cohort to ensure that we can best support your care needs.
