We are rapidly becoming the leading providers of vascular services in Greater Manchester through our collaborations with Salford Royal Hospital and Royal Bolton Hospital. The Vascular Unit provides high levels of training and education to staff and has an extremely active research programme, as part of our continuing drive to provide care of the highest quality to our patients
We are also at the forefront in developing cutting-edge techniques for endovascular aneurysm repair, including fenestrated and complex stentgrafts (FEVAR), for which we are the Greater Manchester specialist centre, through the use of the new hybrid theatre suites, opened in June 2014 and the first in Greater Manchester.
There are five fulltime specialist Vascular and Endovascular Surgeons on the team, offering 24/7 specialist cover 365 days a year.
We have a highly experienced team of Vascular Interventional Radiologists offering 24/7 cover for elective and emergency interventions.
We are supported by the Trust’s vascular laboratory, which provides diagnostic and surveillance testing, and also by the vascular radiology department, which diagnoses and treats vascular conditions.
