Beyond the provision of clinical services, the department has always been proud to be a pioneer in paediatric surgical/urological research, reflected not only in innovation and advances in the field, but also in publications and representations in the most important paediatric surgical journals and forums.
We have a strong teaching culture for all levels of medical training, and our department attracts interns and fellows from all over the world.
We offer a 2-year Sub-Specialty Fellowship certified by the ESPU and part of the Royal College of Surgeons Sub-Specialty Fellowship Programme in Paediatric Urology. The fellowship is based in Leeds and Manchester (one year in each of the centres).
