The whole of the NHS has been saddened to hear that a healthcare professional has been found guilty of the murder and attempted murder of babies.
These crimes have shocked and sickened staff across the country – none of us could understand how a healthcare professional could deliberately hurt a patient in their care.
While there is no connection between this case and any of our hospitals, we want to assure you that the care and safety of all our patients is our highest priority.
We encourage all our staff to raise concerns and have systems in place to support them.
