10 MFT colleagues have been appointed as Honorary Clinical Chairs for the Manchester Academic Health Science Centre (MAHSC).
The appointments are made on an annual basis by The University of Manchester Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health, and are awarded to outstanding individuals across Greater Manchester who have made a significant contribution to their clinical specialty, demonstrating excellence in both research and education.
MAHSC, part of Health Innovation Manchester, brings together MFT, The University of Manchester, The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust, and the Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust to undertake world-leading research to tackle diseases, develop new treatments and transform patient care.
Academic Health Science Centres (AHSC) have a mission to drive excellence in health research, health education, and patient care. MAHSC is one of only eight in England, and the only one in the North West.
