Can anyone have dental implant treatment at the Dental Hospital of Manchester?
If you and our dental implant team agree that this options suitable for you, it is necessary for us to apply to your Local Commissioning Group, asking for funding for your treatment. You will meet our Dental Implant team, who will explain this process to you.
We can only apply for implant funding if the patient meets the criteria set down by your Local Commissioning Group. Not all patients are treated as they do not meet the funding criteria. On these occasions we can give advice on alternative methods of treatment.
Implant treatment must be deemed as the most appropriate form of treatment and that all other reasonable conventional treatments have been tried, or are not feasible or appropriate. We advise that patients wishing to be considered for dental implant treatment speak to their dentist in the first instance.

Dental Implant Coordinator: 0161 393 7738 (Monday to Friday between 8.30 am 4.45 pm)
We can give advice on alternative methods of treatment, such as funding the treatment yourself.
