We aim to ensure that everyone affected by cancer has access to relevant information and appropriate support. This includes information and advice about:
- Reducing your risk of cancer
- Different types of cancer
- Treatment and side-effects
- Complimentary therapies, counselling and support groups
- Talking to children
- Financial support or referral to our Macmillan Advice Service
- Practical support
- Living with and beyond cancer
- Caring and supporting somebody affected by cancer
The service offers the opportunity to talk in confidence about what you are going through in a supportive, private and relaxing environment.
How do I access the service?
Anyone can access the service for information and support with any aspect of cancer. You can use our centre to talk to our staff and volunteers about any concerns you may have or access our varied information booklets to take away with you.
No appointment is necessary but if you are making a special journey to the centre, we recommend that you contact us beforehand to ensure that we have adequate staff available.
The centre is open Monday – Friday 9.30am until 4.30pm (excluding bank holidays).
Please note that we close at 12.30pm on the last Wednesday of each month for team meetings.
