The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital is a state of the art facility, providing children’s emergency, secondary and regional tertiary services. The provision of these secondary and tertiary services provides an impressive facility for children and babies from the North West of England. Local services have been developed to continue provision of secondary services in North Manchester and Salford. There is a comprehensive Children’s Emergency Department, housed within the new hospital. This provides the portal of entry for A&E patients and all acute referrals to the secondary and tertiary services.

All of the consultants have areas of sub-specialty interest and expertise. These specialist services are provided through a multidisciplinary approach and close collaboration with affiliated surgical and medical specialties including Gastroenterology, Respiratory Medicine, Rheumatology, Neurology, Nephrology, Cardiology, Clinical Genetics, Endocrinology, Metabolic Medicine, Oncology, Haematology, Paediatric Intensive Care, Burns and Plastics, Orthopaedics and Trauma, Paediatric and Neonatal Surgery, Urology, Spinal Surgery, and Allied Healthcare Professionals, including Audiologists, Speech & Language Therapists and Dieticians.
