We accept referrals for people aged over 16 with acquired speech, voice, communication and/or swallowing difficulties who live in the central Manchester area. There are separate services for mental health and adult learning disabilities.
Qualified and registered speech and language therapists deliver the service in accordance with their professional body the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists. Our speech therapists specialise in stroke rehabilitation, swallowing difficulties, critical care, palliative care, head and neck surgery, neuro-rehabilitation, elderly care, motor neurone disease, Parkinson’s disease, voice disorders and stammering.

We also provide a service to patients on the intermediate neurological rehabilitation unit at Trafford General Hospital, and to intermediate care in Central Manchester.
