Nominations are now open in the all-new MFT Excellence Awards – and we are calling on members of the public to put forward members of our team for a Patient Choice Award.
The Excellence Awards are the new annual staff awards at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT), where the organisation gives thanks to all our deserving individuals, teams and departments and celebrates their achievements.
The Patient Choice award will be awarded to a member of staff or team nominated by the public for providing extraordinary patient care and is open to all staff in patient facing roles.
We’ve opened the nomination process and this is where we need your help. If you have recently received excellent care in our hospitals or community services and want to see the individual or team recognised – please nominate them for our Patient Choice Award today!
The hospitals that are part of MFT are Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, Manchester Royal Infirmary, Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, Saint Mary’s Hospital, The University Dental Hospital, Altrincham Hospital, Trafford General Hospital, Wythenshawe Hospital, Withington Community Hospital and all of our Community Services.
We are looking for individuals or teams who always go the extra mile for their patients. In your nomination, please describe why this member of MFT staff treats patients as individuals by providing a personalised service, ensuring they feel valued and cared for, as well as treating patients with the utmost respect, dignity and compassion.
The deadline for nominations is 8th December 2017. Nomination forms are available to complete online here or you can fill in a postcard nomination form which can be found around our various hospital sites and hand it to a member of our team. Alternatively post the nomination postcard to Organisational Development, Education & Research Centre, Wythenshawe Hospital, Southmoor Road, M23 9LT.
MFT has more than 18,000 members of staff working across nine hospital sites and community services. We know that so many go over and above for our patients, and each other, every single day. For this reason the new MFT Excellence Awards are an opportunity to recognise the very best of MFT. The winners in all 12 award categories will be announced in a sponsored event at the Principal Hotel Manchester in early 2018.
