We’re made up of six Clinical Groups, each with its own identity and specialisms, but united by a shared purpose and values:
Manchester Royal Infirmary (MRI) – A major acute hospital offering a wide range of services including emergency care, surgery, and specialist medicine.
Specialist Hospitals – Including St Mary’s Hospital, Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, and Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, delivering world-class care in maternity, paediatrics, and ophthalmology.
Wythenshawe, Trafford, Withington and Altrincham (WTWA) – Providing acute and community services with a strong focus on cardiothoracic care and elective surgery.
Clinical and Scientific Services (CSS) – Supporting diagnostics, pharmacy, pathology, and other essential services that underpin patient care.
North Manchester General Hospital (NMGH) – Serving the local community with a full range of hospital services and undergoing significant transformation.
Local Care Organisations (LCOs) and the University Dental Hospital of Manchester – Delivering integrated care in community settings and specialist dental services.
Together, these groups form One MFT – a unified Trust with a shared strategy: Where Excellence Meets Compassion. This strategy sets out our ambitions for the next five years, and our People Plan ensures that every colleague plays a vital role in achieving them.
