The North Manchester Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic services for the local community, all in one convenient location.
The CDC is based at the North City Family and Fitness Centre, and provides people with access to cardiology, respiratory, and ophthalmology services, as well as advanced imaging in a purpose-built unit equipped with state-of-the-art CT and MRI scanners.
Open year-round, the increased capacity offered by the CDC helps to speed up diagnosis, reduce waiting times, and offer more flexible appointment options – all while reducing the need for patients to travel to major hospital sites -supporting timely treatment and improving patient experience across the area.
How can I attend my diagnostic appointment at the North Manchester CDC?
Your GP or hospital care team will refer you for your required diagnostic test, at which point you will be contacted by MFT booking teams and will be able to select the most convenient location for you.
The North Manchester CDC provides you with an additional choice, and doesn’t replace any of your current options. You may wish to have your appointment at a CDC location or another MFT hospital site.
