Biography

I graduated from the University of Manchester in 2004 and completed my training in paediatrics across the Northwest, before undertaking specialist training in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine in both Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.  I undertook a period of research into lung function testing in infants with Cystic Fibrosis, resulting in the award of my MD from the University of Manchester in 2018.

I joined RMCH as a consultant in 2019 and am proud to contribute to the respiratory team. In addition to my clinical work in all aspects of tertiary respiratory medicine, cystic fibrosis and bronchiectasis/PCD, I am involved in research within the department. I have a particular interest in transition, the process by which young people move into being cared for by adult rather than paediatric services, and am involved in working groups within the hospital to improve this.
