Biography:

Dr Browne completed her undergraduate Psychology degree with first class honours at Goldsmiths College, University of London in 1999. She completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Lancaster University in 2005. Dr Browne took up her first post at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital in 2005 and was appointed Consultant in 2017.

Dr Browne has undertaken post-graduate training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She is also an Accredited Assessor for the Human Tissue Authority.

Dr Browne is the clinical psychology lead within the Cystic Fibrosis service at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. She has established and leads the Assessment and Brief Intervention Service (ABIT), which covers psychological care for numerous medical specialties within Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, including pain, rheumatology, gastroenterology, respiratory, and immunology, amongst others.
