Biography

Ruth completed her undergraduate Psychology degree at Newcastle University in 2002 and her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Glasgow University in 2006. She took up her first post at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital in 2006 and was appointed Consultant in 2017. Ruth has undertaken post-doctoral training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Compassion Focussed Therapy. She is also an Accredited Assessor for the Human Tissue Authority.

Ruth is the clinical psychology lead within Oncology/Haematology (including Stem Cell Transplant) and Bladder Exstrophy Services at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
