I graduated from Leicester University in 2003 and trained in paediatrics and respiratory medicine throughout the north in Stoke-on-Trent, Liverpool (Alder Hey) and Sheffield Childrens hospital, before completing my sub-specialty respiratory paediatric training in Leicester. I spent 2 years as a cystic fibrosis clinical fellow researching fungal disease in cystic fibrosis before taking a consultants post at RMCH in 2014. Since my appointment I have become lead clinician for the Long-Term Ventilation unit on ward 83, and currently expanding our overnight sleep assessment service at RMCH. I, along with other members of the respiratory and multidisciplinary team care for the largest group of cystic fibrosis children in the UK, both as out-patients and in-patients, including out-reach clinics with our partners in district general hospitals in the North-West. I am involved in post graduate supervision and specialist respiratory training within RMCH, and am part of the medical education committee for paediatrics.
